VeriFrame™ Distributed Video Verification Technology

VeriFrame™ is a distributed video verification technology providing baseband content monitoring and auditing that delivers real-time Quality of Experience (QoE) metrics. VeriFrame enables video providers, manufacturers, and broadcasters to automatically verify video and audio content – frame by frame, detect black screen, luminance levels and freeze frame, and monitor audio levels. Additionally, VeriFrame provides an industry-unique mosaic view of the video thumbnails for immediate visual confidence monitoring and program playout verification. Leveraging a database architecture, VeriFrame also enables efficient retrieval and filter navigation of all monitored and archived video and audio information with visual thumbnail references for post-analysis trending and performance tracking. Incorporated into IneoQuest’s new iCMS™ (video content management software) and Cricket FrameGrabber™ hardware probes, VeriFrame’s distributed video verification technology empowers telecom, cable and satellite operators, content providers, broadcasters, and equipment manufacturers to efficiently capture, monitor, audit, and verify baseband content – validating the subscriber experience.

The conversion from analog to digital video distribution creates content verification challenges for video service providers and equipment manufacturers. These challenges include validating baseband video and audio quality 24/7, as well as auditing when, where and how content played. Until the development of VeriFrame distributed video verification technology, there has been a lack of a cost-effective method for verifying baseband video and audio content—as a subscriber experiences it in the home. Existing solutions fail to adequately meet these key requirements, forcing many providers to engineer their own often cumbersome workarounds.

IneoQuest’s VeriFrame technology enables a simpler and more cost-effective means of monitoring video content to ensure only quality content is distributing to subscribers. VeriFrame Technology also enables centrally verifying—across multiple locations—exactly what subscribers are viewing. In essence, VeriFrame extends the NOC to the desktop.

VeriFrame was developed based on customer requirements for a practical, low cost method of archiving video and audio content for accurate, post analysis and confidence monitoring.
