The Singulus G1-T and Singulus™G10 are both multi-functional platforms for the monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, generation and test & measurement of video networks. Based on reconfigurable technology, the user can configure either system into alternate modes of operation; for advanced development and traffic generation or for simple remote video monitoring and troubleshooting. Switching between operational modes is relatively easy using the web page interface. The Singulus G1-T connects to the video network through a 10/100/1000 copper or fiber Ethernet port and the Singulus G10 through a 10 Gigabit fiber Ethernet port.
Monitoring and Analysis ModeSingulus probes simultaneously and continuously monitor and analyze multiple live (SPTS, MPTS, etc.) IP video flows with deep packet analysis of PIDs, PCRs, etc. for remote troubleshooting and lab testing. In IQMediaAnalyzer mode, the Singulus G1-T can perform many other tasks like event triggering and capturing live video, playing live video remotely via IQtv™ feature, logging events and trending of IP flow and MPEG statistics, and much more. The Singulus devices in analysis mode are supported by IneoQuest’s iVMS™ Video Management System, IQMediaAnalyzer™ Pro Software, IQDVx™, HTML interface, and Tcl scripting language. |
Network Traffic Generation ModeThe Singulus devices can generate hundreds (G1-T) or thousands (G10) of IP flows with a captured file or replicate live IP flows already in the network. With the ability to generate of video flows (MPTS, SPTS, etc.), users can simulate video headend encoders, VoD servers, and Ad insertion loads while adding impairments verifying network QoS and characterizing network devices for proactive monitoring thresholds. The probes in stimulus mode are supported by IneoQuest’s IQMediaStimulus™ Software, TcL scripting language, and HTML interface. |
