Senior Software Engineer
IneoQuest is currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer for our IP Video Network Monitoring and Configuration products. You will be involved in requirement gathering, design, development and maintenance of software applications in the Java/J2EE environment. This position is a full-time opportunity in our Software Engineering group in our Westford, MA facility.
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of IP Video Monitoring applications and related software using J2EE technologies.
- Collaborate with external parties and product marketing team and help define the requirements.
- Contribute to the overall architecture of the system.
- Perform feature and system integration testing
- Working with the Quality Assurance team to support the applications through the software test cycle.
- Assist the technical support team to debug and analyze complex issues in customer installations.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent is required
- At least 5 years experience in Java development
- Minimum 3 years experience in J2EE development
- Proficient in object oriented design concepts
- Strong experience in development using application servers like JBoss, WebLogic etc.
- Experience with Hibernate, JMS, JNDI, JDBC
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL, Oracle etc.
- Experience with Web 2.0 technologies like ExtJS, YUI, DOJO etc.
- Experience with network management principles and protocols like SNMP
- Experience working in both the Windows and Unix environment
- Well versed with development using IDEs (Eclipse)
- Familiarity with Build Tools (ant, make)
- Familiarity with Source Control system (Subversion etc.)
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems (bugzilla etc.)
- Excellent trouble shooting and data analysis skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
