Senior Software Engineer
IneoQuest Technologies is currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer with Business Intelligence experience for our IP Video Network Monitoring Reporting products. The Engineer will be involved in requirement gathering, design, development and maintenance of software applications in the Java/J2EE environment with Business Intelligence technology and frameworks. This position is a regular full-time opportunity located in our Mansfield, MA office.
The primary responsibilities for the engineer will be:
- Design and development of advanced reporting, analytics and Business Intelligence applications using Java/J2EE technologies and BI tools.
- Ability to develop products in a rapid prototype environment under tight schedule constraints.
- Ability to multi-task across several products simultaneously.
- Assist the Technical Support team and Field Support team to debug and analyze complex issues at customer installations.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
- Experience working comfortably in a small product team through all phases of the product development cycle.
- 3 or more years experience in Java/J2EE development required.
- Strong experience with relational databases required.
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Experience with Web 2.0 technologies.
- Proficient in object oriented design concepts.
- Excellent trouble shooting and data analysis skills.
- Well versed with development using IDEs (Eclipse).
- Familiarity with Source Control system (Subversion etc.), Build Tools (ant, make), defect tracking systems (bugzilla etc.).
- Excellent communication skills.
Pluses
- Experience with MySQL is a plus.
- MicroStrategy Business Intelligence experience a plus.
- Experience with real-world medium/large scale implementation experience using Amazon Web Services a plus.
- Experience with Web 2.0 technologies such as ExtJS, YUI, and DOJO are a plus.
- Windows development is a plus.
