Real-Time DVB-T Monitoring Probe - Detect And Resolve Video Quality Issues And Ensure Quality of Service

Cricket® DVB-T is a powerful and cost-effective probe for continuous real-time monitoring of digital terrestrial television distribution. This solution is designed for remote monitoring and analysis of the RF and transport stream layers enabling operators to detect and resolve video quality issues at the transmitters throughout the video delivery network.

This intelligent RF network probe can be used as a field diagnostic tool with its advanced physical layer RF metrics. Cricket DVB-T probe can also be integrated into the iVMS® video management system for efficient monitoring and diagnostics of an entire DTT infrastructure.

IneoQuest's Cricket DVB-T, featuring support for Media Delivery Index (MDI) and SCTE 168 Program Availability metrics and combined with the iVMS and the rest of the IneoQuest portfolio, provides a uniform way to manage and evaluate the performance of the entire network throughout diverse transport segments, modulation types and coding schemes giving operators the most advanced digital video quality and service assurance solution available.

Deep analysis of key RF performance parameters at a flow or program level

Cricket DVB-T provides detailed analysis of the signal modulation. It identifies QAM-16, QAM-64 and QPSK schemes, verifies power, error rates pre- and post-FEC, bandwidth usage, coding rates and provides a constellation diagram for QAM signals.

For each program, the Cricket DVB-T probe also provides bitrate and loss information.

MPEG-level analysis of flows and programs

Comprehensive displays provide visibility into the bitrate allocation details at a PID level for each flow. The Cricket DVB-T probe also provides Media Delivery Index (MDI) performance indicators such as media loss seconds on 15-minute and 24-hour intervals complying with SCTE 168 program availability recommendations.

With its tuner feature, operators can also select individual channels by alias or number for detailed program analysis.

Cricket DVB-T provides configurable alarms to setup thresholds and filter which alarms to display. The configuration panel also features customizable aliases, templates, system management configuration, etc.

Seamless Integration with IneoQuest's Monitoring Portfolio

As part of the IQPinPoint family, multiple Cricket DVB-T probes can be integrated into the iVMS video management system for centralized network monitoring. From the iVMS, operators can visualize reports from diverse Geminus™, Singulus™ or Cricket probes and correlate video/transport plane issues quickly and accurately.
