MANSFIELD, Mass – June 20th, 2007 — IneoQuest Technologies, Inc., the leader in Multi-Dimensional Video Quality Management SystemsTM and global provider of advanced quality and service assurance solutions for IP Video, today announced a dramatic price breakthrough for last-mile deployments. Based on customer-driven requirements, IneoQuest has created an exciting new pricing structure that enables the wide-scale deployment of its popular QAM and ASI Cricket probes, for sub-$1000 per unit when ordered in volumes.
Since its recent launch, IneoQuest’s award-winning IQPinPoint™ solution has gained significant traction with MSOs, and the company has numerous deployments and trials currently underway. While its unique, multi-dimensional approach has been validated by a global customer base that is over 300 strong, the ability to deliver QAM and ASI intelligent Cricket probes—key hardware components in the IQPinPoint™ solution—throughout the entire video network, including headend, service areas and customer premise has been difficult to achieve due to the cost-per-unit pricing structure.
IneoQuest’s unprecedented new pricing structure will enable MSOs to affordably manage their distributed video system from headend to last mile, using IQPinPointTM with broad deployments of the Cricket to monitor, analyze, fault isolate and troubleshoot—all at a savings of up to 80 percent per unit over list price.
“For the cost of one traditional MPEG analyzer monitoring a single service group, an MSO can now monitor 50 or more service groups with even greater functionality,” explained Marc Todd, chief executive officer of IneoQuest. “Accessing QAM and ASI Crickets remotely to monitor, fault isolate, and troubleshoot will save time and money versus rolling a truck with an antiquated MPEG analyzer.”
The pricing structure is also beneficial for existing IneoQuest customers planning to implement Switched Digital Video (SDV) capabilities. The increased complexity of the SDV network architecture becomes much more manageable when additional Cricket devices are deployed to manage traffic at the edge of the network, between the QAM and the set-top box. “MSOs seeking to implement an SDV network will benefit from a higher volume of Cricket devices for the network edge, to ensure quality of transmission,” said Calvin Harrison, vice president of marketing for IneoQuest. “With this volume pricing program in place, the cost of adding multiple Crickets to monitor every SDV Edge is no longer a barrier.”
