Overview
The Cricket family of probes offers the most powerful, cost effective remote video quality monitors and service assurance troubleshooting tools available in the industry today. Video network operators that need to analyze, debug and resolve video quality and MPEG errors now have a full range of support needed for various interfaces. Designed for use in monitoring and troubleshooting either at the headend, central office or at the side of the house, the family of Crickets is perfect for automatically monitoring each service group for quality issues. Each Cricket provides a means to connect to either Ethernet, QAM, 8-VSB, ASI, HPNA or Wireless, where they continuously scan for layer 1 issues in addition to flows / programs in compliance with DVB TR101 290 priority 1, 2, 3 monitoring, analysis and capture.
The Cricket family integrates with iVMS™ which correlates information from all IneoQuest probes where it logs and notifies the network operations center (NOC) of any problems. Alerted to a specific fault at a specific service group, the service provider can be proactive in correcting the situation, reducing call center traffic volume.
