IQMediaStimulus Software is the IneoQuest host computer application that allows the user to stream media over IP flows from a Singulus test system configured for stimulus generation and loaded with a valid license file. IQMediaStimulus runs on a host PC that is connected to the Singulus test system via a network connection. The Singulus can generate streams up to full line rate on each test port.

The IQMediaStimulus software and the Singulus system is a complete solution for benchmark testing IP networks and their components. IQMediaStimulus allows the Singulus to produce up to two full line rate of streaming media on each test port, literally hundreds of video over IP streams of your choice, with real-time simultaneous modification of IP packets and data payload for stress testing networks, and network components such as IP router/switches, edge devices and set-top-boxes. IQMediaStimulus provides stream replication of your uploaded MPEG transport streams, live video feeds or included streams called IQuickStream.
The IQMediaStimulus stream impairment feature provides the most versatile, easy to use stream modification capabilities available. The ability to modify, impair and remap streaming content, replicate IP packets, add jitter, modify PCR values, drop N or N of X packets provides engineers unlimited flexibility in stressing networks for a full range of test scenarios. Test settings can be saved to a file for use as a repeatable test process for hardware or network verification. The test files define the details and quantity of the media streams sent from the target stimulus test system. In turn each target can have a default test file defined and saved to an IQMediaStimulus Session file so that multiple target stimulus systems can be configured easily with repeatable settings.
