Overview

IneoQuest 10 Gigabit Ethernet tools are hardware platforms and software applications that together provide advanced test and monitoring solutions for IPTV networks and component test applications. IneoQuest offers two 10 GigE hardware test platforms, 1) the Singulus G10, a portable system for the lab bench and field troubleshooting, and 2) the Geminus G10, a rack system for lab or deployed networks, available in single and dual 10 GigE configurations. Both platforms are designed with multifunctional, reconfigurable FPGA technology allowing quick firmware upgrades in the field, a critical requirement for keeping pace with rapidly evolving IPTV technology and standards. The IQ maintenance program allows customers to extend features of IneoQuest hardware platforms for years to come. Features such as simultaneous analysis and monitoring of multiple video flows, line analysis statistics, deep capture analysis and generation of thousands of live video flows will keep pace with evolving Video over IP market requirements. IneoQuest 10 GigE dual boot hardware is designed with two modes of operation, generation (stimulus) and analysis.

Stimulus Mode - Geminus and Singulus G10 tools can generate thousands of live Video over IP flows and support live stream replication using a dedicated 10/100 port. Video clips of up to 2 Gigabytes in size and 20 Mb/s rates are possible using a USB memory stick and interface. It’s possible to generate thousands of real-time video flows (MPTS, SPTS, etc) emulating live video headend encoder, VoD and commercial insertion loads while adding impairments in real-time. This feature verifies QoS settings in a switch or IPTV network as well as to qualify and characterize system and component operation under all load, delay and jitter conditions. Stimulus mode supports IQMediaStim GUI and TcL scripting language. TcL scripts are provided to generate MDI Characteristic Curves for switch and router testing.

 

Analysis Mode - 10GigE analysis and monitoring supports simultaneous analysis and monitoring of multiple live (SPTS, MPTS, etc) flows with deep packet monitoring of PIDs, PCRs, etc. IneoQuest 10GigE hardware supports several IneoQuest software applications for remote troubleshooting, monitoring and lab testing including IQMediaAnalyzer, IQMediaSentry, IQMediaScout, IQtv and IQGuardian. Other interfaces supported include TcL, SNMP, HTML and Syslog. Analysis mode can record up to 200 MB of live video programs with fault triggering, remote thumbnail views of live traffic (IQtv), logging events and history charting of live flow statistics and more...
