Overview

Cricket™ 8-VSB is a video quality and service assurance troubleshooting tool for 8VSB broadcasters needing to verify and debug their digital terrestrial service. Cricket detects and decodes 8VSB signals, providing remote verification of the RF and MPEG transport stream layer as well as quality verification and troubleshooting of the video and audio payload. Continuous scanning of the 8VSB signal discovers all channels and quickly alerts operators to RF outages and MPEG issues. Multiple Crickets can provide visibility throughout the entire broadcast network when integrated with the IneoQuest iVMS Video Monitoring System.

8VSB Cricket - Video Quality Assurance and Debug for the Digital Broadcast Network

Cricket 8-VSB features a RF interface for debug and analysis of video flows, SPTS or MPTS, inside the 8VSB signal. Using an external 8-VSB antenna signals can be taken directly off-air. In addition, Cricket 8-VSB provides useful RF metrics to enable monitoring of the RF network. The 10/100 Fast Ethernet connection allows an IP communication path to IQMediaAnalyzerPro, the web configuration interface and the IneoQuest iVMS Video Management System for seamles broadcast network health monitoiring from master control to transmitter.
