OVERVIEW

The Geminus G10 platform is the industry’s first and most advanced 10Gb digital video monitoring, analysis, generation and test tool. The Geminus G10 contains two hardware platforms, Geminus G10 Base and Geminus G10 Max, offering a scalable solution for digital video networks. The Geminus G10 Max platform connects to the video network through a 10Gb fiber Ethernet port providing true 10Gb line-rate for either network traffic generation (Stimulus) or monitoring and analysis. The Geminus G10 Base platform provides 3Gb of digital video monitoring and analysis on a 10Gb network connection. Based on reconfigurable technology, the Geminus G10 allows users to scale the hardware to fit their digital video bandwidth needs. The Geminus G10 offers an efficient upgrade path so the investment will continue to provide unparallel value long into the future as your network requirements grow.

Monitoring / Analysis Mode

The Geminus G10 platforms simultaneously and continuously monitor and analyze multiple live IP video flows, MPTS or SPTS, with deep MPEG packet analysis for remote monitoring, troubleshooting and testing. In IQMediaAnalyzer mode, the Geminus G10 can perform many other tasks like event triggering and capturing of live video, playing live video remotely via IQtv™ feature, logging events, trending of IP flow and MPEG statistics, and much more. The Geminus G10 in monitoring/analysis mode is supported by IneoQuest’s iVMS Video Management System, IQMediaAnalyzer Pro Software, IQDVx, HTML interface, and Tcl scripting language.

Stimulus Mode

Only available on the Geminus G10 Max, Stimulus Mode provides the ability to generate thousands of IP flows from a captured file up to 2Gb in size or replicate live IP flows already in the network. With the ability to generate thousands of video flows, MPTS or SPTS, users can simulate video headend encoders, VoD servers, and Ad insertion loads while adding impairments verifying network QoS, characterizing network devices, and proactively monitoring thresholds. The Geminus G10 Max in stimulus mode is supported by IneoQuest’s IQMediaStimulus Software, Tcl scripting language, and HTML interface.
