Overview

 

Cricket QAM is a powerful, remote video quality monitor and service assurance troubleshooting tool for Video network operators that need to analyze, debug and resolve video quality and MPEG issues in the QAM network. Designed for use in monitoring and troubleshooting either at the headend, CO or at the side of the house, Cricket QAM is perfect for automatically monitoring each service group within an RF network for quality issues. Continuous scanning of the QAM channels quickly alerts operators to RF outages and the included TR 101 290 priority 1, 2, 3 MPEG analysis feature identifies and resolves MPEG issues fast and efficiently. Integrating with iVMS™ correlates information from all IneoQuest probes in the network with all ongoing measurements that QAM Cricket is logging and notifies the network operations center (NOC) of any problems. Alerted to a specific fault at a specific service group, the service provider can be proactive in correcting the situation, reducing call center traffic volume.

QAM Cricket features a RF interface for debug and analysis of Video flows, SPTS or MPTS inside a QAM. In addition, the QAM Cricket provides useful RF metrics of the RF network. The 10/100 Fast Ethernet connection allows an IP communication path to IQMediaAnalyzerPro, the web configuration interface and the IneoQuest iVMS Video Management System for seamless monitoring of the QAM network health from headend to home. Combined with the iVMS, QAM Cricket in addition to the rest of the IneoQuest portfolio provides the most advanced Video Quality and Service Assurance solution available.
